TUESDAY TIPS 2016.17 (1)

2016.16**TUESDAY TIPS**Changing your engine oil regularly is an important part and yet the least costly part of your vehicles maintenance.  To make it as effective as possible and prevent future expensive repairs, we use and recommend the Wynn's Engine Oil Flush Additive on all services. Now I know most people say that any kind of additive is just money grabbing, waste of money, damaging to your engine, blah blah blah…..  We truly have heard it all!YES, engine oil these days are so much better than they used to be and they do contain an additive already, but these additives are lubricating, heat resistant and viscosity stabilizers, plus many more.  So in plain English, these are functional additives.  The engine oil flush we use is primarily a cleaning agent. This flush will safely remove varnish, sludge and other contaminants along with the old oil, which can extend the life of your engine.  With time, even the best engine oil deteriorates and contaminates the engine with gums and varnish which a simple oil change cannot remove. This build-up of contaminants can cause:

  • Premature engine wear, leading to vehicle breakdown
  • Loss of engine power
  • High oil consumption, leading to the possibility of dropping oil pressure
  • High fuel consumption
  • Noisy hydraulic lifters

Remember, putting clean oil into a dirty engine can lead to shortened life of your engine oil and then your engine, leading to costly repairs!

Would you pour clean water into a dirty glass or would you clean the glass first??
